    Hardware demands

    A UNIX computer is required; the platform is basically regardless.

    However, some platform were tested with no problems:

    • DEC: OSF/1 2.0 and 3.0

    • SUN: SunOS 4.1.x and Solaris 2.3

    • IBM: AIX 4

    • Linux: SuSE 7.3

    Software demands

    In order to be able to install Harvest the following software packages must be available on the computer:

    • Perl    > v4.0

    • GNU gzip    > v1.2.4

    • a HTTP Server 

    A precompiled version of the Harvest software is not available any more. So, you need additionally:

    • GNU gcc    > 2.5.8

    • flex    > 2.4.7

    • bison    > 1.22
